Text based adventures games to play

Text adventures, or interactive fictions , are videogames where the player controls a character with a text based interface. Every action is performed with text commands.
In other words, the player READ a story and make every choice/action in the game using the keyboard. It is a very deep gaming experience. A good text adventure can stimulate the player's imagination. It's an interactive story and it can useful to improve vocabulary skills.
Examples of typical text commands:
- - Get the key
- - Open the door
- - Kill monster with the sword
- - Move the table
- - Examine the room
Every command returns a response text.
For example:
The player digits: "Open the door"
The game responds: "You can't do it. The door is locked".
